The rating standard
How we rate
What the score means, what it does not mean, and where the money touches the page.
What the 0–5 score measures
Every product on a ranked page carries a score out of five. It rewards three things: a published, comparable price (a per-bottle or per-month figure you can check before you reach a cart, not a number gated behind a subscription); an honest formula (disclosed ingredients at doses with some published rationale, rather than a proprietary kitchen-sink blend); and honest positioning (a brand that sells a supplement as a supplement gets credit; one whose “GLP-1” marketing outruns its own evidence loses it). The score is the verdict.
What we do not do
We do not lab-test products, and we do not claim to. Our ratings come from reading the seller's own page, its ingredient panel and the published literature behind each ingredient — which is why a score is about value and candour, not a measured outcome. We do not invent prices: where a seller publishes none, the card reads “pricing varies” rather than a guess. And we never describe a dietary supplement as equivalent to a prescription GLP-1 medication, because it is not.
Letter grades belong to ingredients, not products
Our supplement evidence checker grades ingredients A to D on the strength of the human evidence behind them. Those grades describe the molecule, never a brand or a finished product — a B-graded ingredient inside an overpriced blend still makes for a poorly scored product. The two systems are deliberately separate and we do not mix them.
We say who pays us
Metabolic Pantry is affiliate-funded: some of the sellers we link out to pay us a commission at no extra cost to you, and that is stated on the ranked page itself, not only here. The sellers we earn nothing from get the same review, the same score and the same outbound button, and we say so where the evidence is thin whether or not we earn on it. Full detail in our funding disclosure.
Sourcing and corrections
Every medical or efficacy claim is tied to a primary source — peer-reviewed research or official labeling — and cited inline, including the null results. Prices and formulas are verified against the seller's own page and can change without notice. If something here is wrong, email info@metabolicpantry.com and we will correct it and note the change.
This is not medical advice
Nothing here diagnoses, treats or prescribes. Talk to a licensed clinician before starting any supplement or prescription weight-management medication, especially if you take other medication or have a health condition.
